De Served By: A.I.R. Jonita Saint-Leger

There have been times in my life when I have wanted, and wished, and prayed for things to happen, and they didn’t.

Did I pray hard enough?

Did I believe enough?

Was I WORTHY enough?

Did I deserve it?

There have been times in my life when I have wanted, and wished, and prayed for things to happen, and though I doubted, because I knew the feeling of disappointment,

and yet, this time,

it did.

Why is it easier to believe that when disappointment comes, that, “it happens for a reason,”

and yet not as easy to accept, that when prayers are answered, that, “it happens for a reason?”

When its said, “What’s for us, is for us,” we should know this to be true.

As many times as I have seen wishes plummeted into the depths of dismay

I have equally been surprised that regardless of my perceived ineptitude, or lack in faith, BLESSINGS still rained where they were designed to fall.

One’s worthiness is not for others to understand, and sometimes,

sometimes

it’s not for us to understand either.
